Barry Watson

Michael Barrett "Barry" Watson was born in Traverse City, Michigan in 1974. He moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of eight, and found some work as a model. When he was fifteen, he moved to Burbank, California, soon finding a job on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Afterwards, he moved back to Texas, and graduated from high school in Richardson in 1992 Prior to landing the role of Matt Camden on 7th Heaven, Watson appeared on the series Malibu Shores and guest starred on many other popular shows, including Baywatch, where he was one of the first characters to actually drown! He was in the HBO original sci-fi movie Attack of the 50-foot Woman with Darryl Hannah, and he starred in the feature film Teaching Mrs. Tingle with Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes. Barry moved to LA on his own at the age of 15, where he got his first acting job on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. Thisonly lasted six months before he moved back home. Barry returned to LA at age 19, determined to make it this time, and while getting his acting career started, he waited tables, worked as a cashier, and even parked cars. Watson currently appears as the title character in the television series What About Brian.
